Shipping

Do you deliver internationally?

For the time being, we only ship to Malaysia. We use J&T as our preferred courier locally. The duration is subject to custom clearance. Rates are not inclusive of customs duty and taxes, temporary import export charges, import taxes or other duties.

How long will it take to reach me?

We aim to process your orders within 24-48 hours of working days (Saturdays & Sundays are not considered as working days) of orders being placed. Your order should reach you within 3 working days from dispatch date.

How do I track my parcel?

Once the item has been dispatched from Gangsapura, we will send you a confirmation email with a tracking number with its tracking link to your email and it is the customer’s responsibility to track the status of their parcel.

I can't track my parcel!

The status of your parcel will show within 24 hours of dispatch and if you are still unable to track it after 24 hours, email us at info@gangsapura.com and we will be glad to assist you!

Lost parcels.

After we have dispatched out your parcel to the courier company, we will not be responsible for your parcels.

If you have yet to receive your parcel within the estimated days, it may have been held back at the nearest post office after failed delivery attempts. You may call the courier company to track the last whereabouts of your parcel and personally retrieve it from the courier office.

Unclaimed parcels will be posted back to our warehouse and you will have to pay for the reshipping costs according to initial shipping cost.

For security purposes, we do not deliver to a PO Box address. In the event you have chosen a PO Box address as your destination address, we will send you an email requesting you to choose an alternative address which may delay your delivery.

Can I change/cancel my order after confirmation?

Gangsapura aims to process your order as soon as we get them and dispatch within 24 hours. No changes and cancellation allowed after payment is made. Kindly check all order details before check out.

How do I get refunded?

For any case of refund, we will refund in the form of online store credit.

What is a store credit?

A store credit is store money issued to you when you receive a refund.

Store credit will be automatically issued to you with a discount code through email and it can be used at any time at the checkout.

We’re a school looking for a gamelan program. Can you help?

Yes! We work closely with schools to create customised programs that suit your learning goals and timetables. We also offer long-term educational support and can assist with instrument procurement. Get in touch to explore the options.

Can I rent your studio just to jam with friends?

Yes, our space is open for jam sessions and rehearsals—even if you don’t need a teacher. Perfect for casual players or community musicians. Book the space by contacting us here.

We already have gamelan instruments. Can we hire a Gangsapura tutor?

Definitely! We offer off-site tutoring, whether it's at a school, home, or your own space. Our team of experienced instructors can guide your learning wherever you are.

What types of classes do Gangsapura offer?

We offer a range of gamelan classes tailored to different age groups and learning preferences:

One-off classes (monthly) for adults and kids who want a taste of gamelan.
Kaki Gangsa – our subscription-based class for those looking to dive deeper into the gamelan world with regular sessions.

What is Kaki Gangsa?

Kaki Gangsa is our signature weekly gamelan class subscription. But it’s more than just a class – it’s a community. Whether you're a beginner or have experience, this is a space to grow, rehearse, and bond with fellow gamelan enthusiasts. Great for those wanting consistency, skill-building, and performance opportunities.

What’s included in the adult one-off classes?

We currently offer:

Malay Gamelan Crash Course: A 3-hour introductory workshop covering basic techniques and the rich history of the tradition.
Contemporary Gamelan Exploration: A 3-hour session focused on sonic experimentation, open-minded play, and new composition ideas using gamelan instruments.
Perfect for beginners, musicians, and creatives looking for a unique sound experience.

What’s the difference between Gamelan Kiddies and Cilik Gangsa?

Gamelan Kiddies: For children aged 4–6 with a parent or guardian. This is a shared music exploration session—think bonding time, rhythm play, and gamelan discovery.
Cilik Gangsa: For kids aged 7–12 who can attend independently. This is more structured learning, aimed at nurturing appreciation and understanding of Malay Gamelan through fun, guided lessons.

Can I cancel a class I’ve signed up for?

All class purchases are non-refundable. However, we understand that emergencies happen. Reach out to us directly and we’ll be happy to review on a case-by-case basis—we may be able to issue store credit.

Where and when are the classes held?

All classes are held at our studio in GMBB, Kuala Lumpur. For specific days and times, refer to our regularly updated Class Calendar.

I’m a complete beginner. Can I still join?

Absolutely! Most of our participants are first-timers. No prior music knowledge needed—just come with an open mind and ready hands!

Not at all! Our community is beautifully diverse. We welcome everyone—locals and foreigners, artists and learners, young and old—who are curious about the art of Malay Gamelan.

Do you offer performances or live shows?

Can I buy gamelan instruments through you?
