Kampung Ronggeng

What is this show about?

Kampung Ronggeng
“An immersive gamelan concert, but make it kampung”

Get ready for a Malay gamelan music experience, unlike anything you've ever seen before. Our contemporary concert layout is designed to break down the barriers between performer and audience and create a completely immersive experience that will transport you to another world.

The ‘stage’ is set up in the center of the room, with the audience surrounding it on all sides. This allows for a more intimate and connected experience, where everyone is able to see and interact with the performers up close. And with immersive lighting, soundscapes, and props, you'll feel like you're part of the show.

Audiences, dressed in ‘orang kampung’ outfit, will be part of the scene, make decisions to change the course of the concert, and will be enjoying 10-11 original compositions that highlight the ups and downs of ‘orang kampung’.

But our event is not just about music - it's about creating a community and fostering a sense of togetherness. Join us for an unforgettable journey through sound and art, where the boundaries between performer and audience dissolve. This is a music experience you don't want to miss.
